Sorry for crappy cell phone pictures, didn't think years ago I would be putting these online. Yugo, Century AK-74 converted to triangle folder, and a bulgy parts kit build on a nodak receiver with bulgy triangle stock and plum furniture. Another Bulgarian parts kit build (I REALLY miss the $199 kits with barrels!) on Nodak receiver with US side folder. I did this one for Frankie's retirement. I used to be one of the guys that frowned on "westernizing" an Ak, but man is this thing a sweet shooter. I still haven't gotten around to modding the bolt, eventually it will have a left side charging handle to speed it up. This picture was before I did some Ranger Regiment and other markings to the receiver. It's a Romanian parts kit on Nodak receiver, VLTOR receiver extension, UTG rail system, PWS brake, CAA mag release and unknown AR grip adaptor. This was mid build, so ignore the missing rivets. The front end was original russian AKM that I was installing into a post sample receiver making it into everybody's favorite Afghani cobble job otherwise known as a "Khyber Pass Gun." For you non Ak types, these were never produced by the Russians. It was something the Mujahideen cobbled together out of captured gun to suit their needs. It's basically an AKS-74 that shoots 7.62x39 instead of 5.45x39. Heres another Oddball gun I put together. Friend of mine wanted a clone of what he carried on missions in A-stan (pilot type), it was another "Khyber Pass" Gun that was pieced together in the mountains. Mostly East German Ak (that's where the strange handguard and grip came from) that they chopped down. Strange looking Ak, but that's what makes it cool. Doubt you'll find another one like this stateside. The crowd pleaser, everybody's favorite terrorist gun even though they are a pain in the ass. This is an original '86 Tula parts kit in a Nodak Receiver. Was originally an SBRd semi auto, but is in the process of being made into a post sample machine gun. Look in the next few months to see this little guy for rent. Hopefully 5.45 stays affordable because it's hard to let go of the trigger on these. There's a dozen or so other Aks I don't have pictures of yet, including a post sample AMD-65 that's a blast. I'll try to nab some pictures soon.
