OK.. may be a rant, but figured might as well share. I've ordered gear from OPSGEAR for a while.... years in fact... and they've always been good. I ordered something from them last year and it became a pain, but, eh, not that big of a deal.
Then I decided to order some gloves. I waited 2 weeks, no indication of the status of the order, such as shipping, etc. After a month I contacted them to get an update, "They're on back order now"... ok. I get it. I ask, "any idea on ETA?" "3-5 weeks" OK... no prob, I'm not going to have a hissy fit. 7 weeks later, nothing. So I contact them. "Still on Back order" 2 weeks after that I start getting marketing e-mails about deals. Just so happens the gloves I ordered were being promoted as 30% off. I contacted them again, "You've discounted gloves that you said were on BO. Does that mean I'll get mine shipped?" (I didn't even ask for the discount) I basically got a response that "we're busy and sorry for the trouble. they're still on BO." After another couple weeks, nothing, so I asked to have my order canceled and a refund. I got an e-mail saying I'll get a full refund in 3-5 business days. That was 4 weeks ago. And no response to my communications throughout that time. As of today, that's 20 weeks from the day I ordered the gloves.
In short, they're thieves.
Take from that what you will, but rest assured they've lost a loyal customer for $84, which is a tiny fraction of what I've spent with them over the last couple years.

Sounds like my experience with SO Tech. Only my order was substantial. Their loss. Thanks to that I found better resources, and some even local.

Hi folks,
Wanted to give an update to this for you. Actually, FWIW, I posted an update about a month ago, but it didn't stay on the board (weird). Anyway.... here's a short version.
After about ten more interactions over e-mail and being told I'll get a refund and then not getting one, I started to get a little frustrated. I put in for assistance from PayPal and - ironically - learned they wouldn't help because too much time had past. So, note to self, being a good consumer and giving the vendor PLENTY of time to make good before complaining to PayPal... is not what PayPal wants you to do.
Anyway, I sent a number of e-mails after the last volley, but this time included the owner, Dave Burnell.... and a few days later I got my refund.
So, the summary... From start to finish - 5 months, 17 days Total amount in question - $81.47 Number of e-mails - 87 Total times was told will receive refund and didn't - 13 Amount I paid for the *same gloves* from a different vendor = $47.43 (includes shipping) Cost to OpsGear - A customer that spent a lot (more than your average bear) on gear last year.
Lessons learned: Never buy from OpsGear Engage immediately if you suspect bullshit from your vendor
