I gotta say - and especially now I have my own long gun - I'm biting at the bit for the next long range class. In fact, I'm thinking of taking several of the classes again, they're just that good, frankly. Chad is an unbelievable instructor. The guy is a genius. Anywho... looking forward to the next classes.
As a backdrop... I've been mostly a pistol guy and then got in to ARs and stuff, but never really shot any distances. I think it was my 7th round in the first long range class I took aim at a 500+yrd target. The first 6 rounds we're close... 250 and 300, all good hits and a ton of fun. So, with Chad's OBR in hand, he lined my up for the 500... here's the vid
Although I hit with the follow up shot, it was low right. The reason I "missed" (it was a miss as far as I'm concerned - aim small, miss small) was because I was totally laughing after the first shot, I couldn't stop giggling to myself. I can't explain it, but shooting long range is just stupid fun.

It's a drug. The more you do it, the farther you'll want to reach. I agree that Chad is a great instructor. He really gets a feel for where a student is having problems or if he doesn't understand something. I was always self taught, and Chad really helped clear stuff up and help make sense of it all.

Where making arrangements for one weekend out of the month CHAD is going to take everyone that has gone up to intermediate TWO out to the long range in the pasture and spend the day shooting. Once it dries up will be able to repair the 800 yard line but the 400 yard line is always available
