Got this 870 after a bad motorcycle accident, which left me not being able to shoot and train with pistols. I wanted an alternative weapon for home defense, and this fit the profile. I always felt that I needed to learn how to use it since I felt uncomfortable with it. After taking Frankie's shotgun class at 37PSR, and then taking some time to train everything I had learned, I actually prefer my 870 to a pistol now. Frankie really showed my how great a tool a shotgun can be. Thanks Frankie.

That is a really ridiculously good looking shotgun. Probably should call it zoolander.
Did you have it hydro dipped or did you buy it factory that way? Curious if there is somebody local who does it.

Barrel and receiver came standard from Remington. Had Magpul stock and forend done to match by US Tactical Supply. There are some local NC hydro guys but every time I asked them for pics of any ATACS jobs on long guns, I never got a reply. The work US Tactical Supply does is top notch. I saw their work at SHOT Show one year and was very impressed. It would be nice if some local guys did it just as good. Here's how it looked when I bought it from the LGS:
