  I'll start. This is my Steyr SSG08 in 300 win mag. Scope is a Schmidt & Bender 3-20x50 with a H2CMR reticle. I run an Atlas bipod. This rifle is so good right out the box, that no mods were necessary. I comes with a fully adjustable trigger, but I haven't felt compelled to adjust it. I've had many bolt guns of many different brands, and this is by far my favorite. It shoots so well and I've only shot factory ammo so far. Soon I'll start doing my own hand loads which will help show its true potential. |

Damn that's cool, is the wrap something you did yourself? I just finished this guy today, funny how an entire project can start with a single part. For this one it was the KAC URX, I got it used for a steal and went from there. Lower is bushmaster, upper, 18" barrel and carrier are dpms (upper is high profile, hard to find those anymore), SR25 trigger, armalite gas block, KAC scope mount. Gemtech tprs on a smith vortex mount. Glass is one of the newer PA 4-14 FFP in mil/mil which is awesome for the price. I only shot it to 100 today but was really impressed with it for $250. Amazing how quick it is to zero when the turrents are 1/10 mil working on mil dots, and it passed the box test.  |

Damn that's cool, is the wrap something you did yourself? Which wrap? The front or the rear of the stock? The front is a Chuck Mawhinney HTI skid pad. The rear is just some 550 cord braided into the stock brace. |

Works great too! You do Cerakoteing Dan? Yep, thats what you see here. Everything is FDE (regular, not magpul) minus the scope which is alumahyde coyote tan. Soooo much better to work with than duracoat (and goes on much thinner) and even the air dry stuff is stronger. I really like that stuff its just pour and spray! |

No problem, as long as you do the disassembly our prices are really cheap compared to others. Its only when I have to spend hours taking apart and cleaning is when it gets expensive.

Cool. M1A is pretty much disassembled. I'll get factory manual for Steyr since I'll need torque specs for reassembly.

 Here's the the M1A with a US Tactical Supply hydro dipped Sage stock. The black barrel and action looks so out of place. FDE Cerakote will be a much better fit. |

Nice rifles guys. So far that Steyr SSG08 is my favorite so far. Gotta love a bolt action. Here is my build. Built this back in 2012 while in Colorado. Remington SPS Tactical .308 action and barrel (20 inch, 1:12 twist) AICS 1.5 chassis Nightforce 20 MOA base Nightforce Ultra Lite rings (medium) Vortex PST 4-16x50 FFP EBR-1 MRAD scope Harris Bipod The range in this picture is Colorado Rifle Club 500 meter range. I have shot it at the 100 yard at 37psr but looking forward to getting out to the longer distances in Carolina. Also looking forward to upgrading my scope to a Schmidt & Bender this year. At the moment I am only using 175gr SMK rounds. With sub MOA groups, I call it a good performer. This was my first and still my only build. This is my baby. There are a few upgrades I would like to do. I would like to change the barrel out at some point to get a 1:10 twist, maybe a 24in bartlein or krieger. Also would like to get the action trued and get some trigger work done. Those atlas bipods are a possibility also. I am also considering putting on some viperskins. But at this point she shoots very well. I say she shoots better than I do.  |
